The expansion project of the Jorge Chávez International Airport covers the design; the construction of a landing strip; of a new terminal and its contact and remote platform for aircraft; urbanization and access to a business complex with new logistics areas and warehouses; parking areas; a building for facilities and power plant; a new control tower and a building for a fire station. All this will mean an increase in operational capacity, given that the extension of the airport will go from two to nine million square meters, thus enabling it to meet a demand of more than 30 million passengers per year.
When the project ends, the new airport infrastructure will be the largest and most modern in the region, thus reinforcing the development and integration of the economic and business sector in Callao (Peru).
The construction area of the FCC Group has been present in numerous complex airport projects such as the T-1 Passenger Terminal at El Prat Airport, in Barcelona, the terminal building and parking lot in Palma de Mallorca, the third track and the new terminal building of the T4 of the Adolfo Suarez Madrid Barajas Airport, a work that has received the Puente de Alcántara International Award. In the international arena, the construction area of the FCC Group has executed the highest control tower in Latin America, at the El Dorado Airport (Colombia), has expanded the Riga airport and has built the Juan de Santamaría airport hangar, in Costa Rica.
