The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Peru makes a technical inspection visit to the expansion areas of the Jorge Chávez International Airport

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), Lima Airport Partners (LAP), as well as the AMANCAE consortium, led by FCC Construcción, execute actions prior to the expansion of the Jorge Chávez International Airport (Peru).
As part of this process, specialists of the sector coordinated the steps to follow that will allow preparing the land for the construction of the second runway and the new terminal. These activities are prior to the so-called environmental remediation, which assumes that the land delivered to LAP will be freed of waste, oil, gasoline and other elements that prevent construction work.
The MTC team, made up of technicians from the General Directorate of Socio-Environmental Affairs (DGASA), the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) and the Directorate General of Concessions in Transport (DGCT), met on Thursday, February 21 to coordinate the execution of the preparatory works with representatives of LAP and Amancae, the consortium hired to execute the works. The specialists met in the sector "Monticulo Centenario", located between Los Ferroles Avenue and the town "Daniel Alcides Carrión", one of the 46 areas of direct influence of the project.
Likewise, the urban authorization and the building license have been managed before the Provincial Municipality of Callao, both permits are necessary to start the expansion works of the airport. Among other activities planned by LAP as part of the development of the Expansion Project of the AIJC - newLIM, to date, information campaigns have been carried out to the residents of the areas neighboring the project.
