FCC Canada Ltd, a subsidiary of FCC Construcción, executed a Target Price Agreement for the Ontario Line Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations contract on August 1, 2026, estimated at a total capital cost of C$4.32 billion. 

The Ontario Line Pape Tunnels and Underground Stations contract will be delivered by Pape North Connect, a consortium comprised of FCC Canada and WeBuild. Pape North Connect was previously selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario for the collaborative Development Phase of the progressive design-build project and the implementation phase is now underway. 

The Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations contract will bring three kilometres of new twin tunnels and two underground stations,  with one connecting to the existing Pape Station on the Line 2 subway. It will extend from Gerrard Street, through the Greektown, Pape Village and East York neighborhoods, all the way to where Minton Place meets the Don Valley Parkway. It will be integrated within the entire 15.6 km Ontario Line subway project, providing quick and seamless transit for those heading in and out of the downtown core and those travelling through the city’s east end.

FCC Construcción through its subsidiary FCC Canada has been present in Canada for more than 25 years. In 1997 it was awarded the Fredericton-Moncton Highway construction, operation and maintenance project. In 2011, it was awarded the contract for the expansion of a section of the Toronto Metro expansion, the city's first modern subway infrastructure work. This project was completed in 2018.
