FCC Construcción has, for yet another year, been awarded the “Calculo y Compenso” seal, granted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD). This seal recognises the company’s efforts in calculating, recording and offsetting its carbon footprint.

The renewal of this recognition highlights FCC Construcción’s commitment to rigorous, transparent environmental management aimed at the progressive reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of this process, the company has reviewed the methodology used to calculate its carbon footprint, established a new base year and expanded the scope of the inventory by incorporating new emission factors, materials and sources of impact.
This update provides a more comprehensive, reliable and representative model of FCC Construcción’s operational reality, and reinforces the quality of the information used for the company’s climate management. At the same time, the methodological update means that the results are not directly comparable with those of previous financial years for the purposes of demonstrating reductions.

Being awarded the “Calculo y Compenso” seal forms part of the numerous initiatives FCC Construcción is driving forward to minimise the environmental impact of its activities, improve energy efficiency, promote the responsible use of resources and advance the development of more sustainable infrastructure.
