FCC Construcción reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and receives the Certificate of Adherence to the State Pact on the Climate Emergency

FCC Construcción has formalised its commitment to the green transition after receiving the Certificate of Adherence to the State Pact on the Climate Emergency. This milestone highlights the company’s active involvement in achieving a climate-neutral economy and in adopting operational adaptation and mitigation measures in the engineering, civil engineering and construction sectors.

The State Pact on the Climate Emergency brings together public administrations, the business community and civil society organisations with the aim of establishing a common, cross-cutting roadmap to tackle climate change. By obtaining this certificate, FCC Construcción undertakes to provide practical support for the pact’s strategic pillars, integrating the highest environmental standards into the development of its national and international projects.

Through this commitment, the company reinforces the key pillars of its Sustainability Strategy, promoting decarbonisation through the use of low-carbon materials, fostering the circular economy and optimising the use of energy resources on construction sites. Furthermore, the company is driving regional resilience by building infrastructure designed to withstand extreme weather events and by implementing nature-based solutions.

This Certificate of Membership reflects the company’s environmental track record and also reaffirms its commitment to society. Infrastructure is a key driver of the green transition, which is why the company works daily to ensure that every project has a positive impact on the environment and local communities.

With this new step, FCC Construcción consolidates its leadership in the responsible construction sector, positioning itself as a benchmark in the integration of ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria into the management of global projects. This accreditation reaffirms the company’s role as a transformative force driving a shift towards a production model aligned with European and international climate targets.
