The FCC Group’s Construction area increased its turnover by 27.4 per cent, exceeding 2,750 million euros in September 2026

The FCC Group’s Construction area recorded turnover of 2,755 million euros during the first nine months of 2026, representing a 27.4 per cent increase compared with the same period in the previous financial year, driven by the contribution of new railway works and sports infrastructure projects, both nationally and internationally.

By geographical area, Spain led the growth in activity, with turnover of €1,207.9 million, 31.1 per cent higher than in the first nine months of 2025. This increase is mainly due to progress on the Nou Mestalla project in Valencia, as well as the execution of new projects linked to energy infrastructure and photovoltaic plants.

In the Americas, turnover reached 725.5 million euros, representing a 51.5 per cent increase compared with the same period the previous year. This growth was underpinned by the increasing contribution from major rail projects in Toronto (Canada), Pennsylvania and New York (United States).

Meanwhile, the Middle East and Australia region experienced the highest relative growth, with an increase of 93.6 per cent and turnover of 227.4 million euros. This performance was driven mainly by progress on the construction of the Qiddiya stadium in Saudi Arabia, alongside the development of other projects in Australia.

In Europe, turnover reached 594.2 million euros, driven by progress on projects currently under way in the Netherlands and Norway.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at 142.4 million euros, representing a gross margin of 5.2 per cent and an increase of 17.6 per cent compared with the same period in the previous financial year.

FCC’s Construction division’s order book stood at 9,849.5 million euros, 2.8 per cent higher than in December 2025. Particularly noteworthy is the performance of the international order book, which rose by 5.3% to €7,209.1 million. This growth is due to the addition of new contracts, notably a major rail infrastructure project in Toronto (Canada), thereby strengthening the FCC Group’s international positioning in strategic markets with high growth potential.”

Operational milestones and new contracts

  • Last August, FCC Canada Ltd announced that ONxpress Civils Contractor General Partnership (“ONxpress”), a 50:50 joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada, had signed partnership contracts with Metrolinx to drive forward the “GO Expansion” rail project in Ontario. FCC’s share of the contracts amounts to over 1,200 million dollars.
  • In September, FCC Construction Australia, in collaboration with Ecove, was awarded the Sydney Olympic Park Integrated Station Development Precinct (ISDP) contract, which will be carried out as part of the Sydney Metro West project. It will involve the construction of a new metro station, alongside the development of a wider area within Sydney Olympic Park, one of the city’s most important areas. The works will include improvements to public spaces, the development of the station precinct and integration with the Sydney Metro West rail network.
  • The consortium led by FCC Construcción was awarded a contract worth over 735 million euros to build the third runway at Riyadh International Airport (Saudi Arabia), together with the associated ancillary infrastructure. The project has an estimated completion time of 3.5 years and contributes an attributable portfolio of over 400 million euros.

In Spain, the following projects are of particular note:

  • In the field of civil engineering, the contract to upgrade a section of the A-4 motorway, worth 125 million euros, stands out, as does the consortium’s participation in the winning bid for the 135.8 million euro contract to construct 11.8 kilometres of double-track railway in Catalonia (the Cambrils–Vila-seca Adif station section).
  • Of particular note, due to its unique nature, is the contract secured last March by the consortium in which FCC Construcción participates, worth 174 million euros, to design and construct the IFMIF-DONES, a particle accelerator to be built in Granada to conduct experiments on fusion energy and advance towards a new model of clean and unlimited energy, such as that produced by stars.
