The Transport and Ports Management of the Department of Infrastructures of the Government of Valencia has awarded FCC Construcción in a joint venture with a local company the design and building of the "finca Adoc" diversion of the tramway for €32 million; the building timetable is 16 months.

This action will allow the doubling of the 1,951 m of railway tracks between La Albufereta and the Sangueta parade, crossing the Serra Grossa with a new tunnel 1,400 m long and with a cross section of 72 m², equipped with an emergency gallery.
The contract includes the superstructure, catenary, 800 kVA transformer centre, ventilation, fire detection using optical fibre sensor cables and safety and communications systems.

The project will improve safety and the double track will allow an increase in the trains' frequencies, improved connections with the beaches and the freeing of the coastline from the tracks built in the past for the trenet.
