Equipment and Special Systems

Equipment Area is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance and operation of the company’s machinery and auxiliary equipment and for providing advice and support in all matters related to machinery and installations, whether for studies, procedure writing or works execution. This area has technical professionals, engineers and special staff to participate in special projects undertaken by the company.

Special Systems

It carries out special construction techniques such as bridge launching, using both friction and cable equipment; heavy-load movements, including lifting, lowering, and load transfers; jacking of railway caissons using hydraulic pushing; and concreting of sliding caissons. It also performs post-tensioning works and the installation of bridge stays and structural cables through the implementation of the Swiss BBR system.

Equipment

It has strategic machinery (tunnel boring machines, self-launching formwork, floating docks, blondins, and track machinery) as well as more common equipment (aggregate, asphalt, and concrete plants, pavers, tower cranes, and auxiliary equipment). In addition, it is responsible for study, design, documentation, procedure development, project monitoring, investments, and operational control. The Central Equipment Yard and the Auxiliary Equipment Warehouse are in charge of maintenance, operation, and the provision of machinery and specialists for integration into project teams.
