Systems and CSR

The Systems and CSR area coordinates and promotes the application of quality, environmental, information safety, R+D+i, collaborative work relationships, information management using BIM models and corporate responsibility systems. It also coordinates training, information and documentation services and the distribution of technical information and oversees both internal and external audits.

This area oversees the development and implementation of Management and Sustainability System at the national and international levels, defining the systems, keeping them up to date at all times and adapting them to each company and country.

It develops and maintains the Business Management and Sustainability System which encompasses the Quality, Environmental, R+D+i, Information Safety, of collaborative working relationships and occupational risk prevention, and which is certified by AENOR according to the NE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 14001, UNE-EN ISO/IEC 27001, UNE-EN ISO 56001, UNE ISO 44001 and UNE-EN ISO 19650 standards and by BUREAU VERITAS according to the UNE-EN ISO 45001 standard.

Its main function is to develop and maintain the company's Management and Sustainability System, which integrates the aforementioned management systems that are certified by AENOR according to the UNE-EN ISO 9001, UNE-EN ISO 14001, UNE -EN ISO/IEC 27001, UNE 166002, UNE ISO 44001 and UNE-EN ISO 19650 and by SGS according to the UNE-EN ISO 45001 standard.

Likewise, as part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, it has also been certified by AENOR for its Carbon Footprint emissions in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14064 standard, its Water Footprint calculations in accordance with the requirements of the WATER FOOTPRINT NETWORK, and its Sustainability Report has been verified in accordance with GRI standards.

FCC Construcción was the first Spanish construction company to obtain the AENOR certificate for its Quality System (ISO 9001), the only one to hold the Information Security certificate for the scope of construction (ISO 27001), and the first and until At the moment, the only one that has the Collaborative Labor Relations certificate (ISO 44001).

Management System Areas

Quality

This department develops and updates the Management and Sustainability System, coordinating the process of revising the system, ensuring that it is continuously improved and offering the support required for its implementation. It collaborates with other entities to define, revise and update the Management System indicators and processes and to ensure that it is permanently adapted to the meet the company´s needs. It also provides support for the certification of new systems at the national and international levels.

Environment

The Environmental Department offers advice in environmental techniques related to plans and projects based on the organization´s needs and also maintains the Environmental Management System and supporting applications. It analyses, interprets and reports to the projects on environmental laws, extracting the legal requirements and participates in external working groups whose findings could have an impact on the company.

Audits

It conducts audits of the Management and Sustainability System for all our certified certifications. In addition, it performs technical audits within the framework of the Special Accident Risk Management Program (PETRA). The preparation, formalization, monitoring, and closure of these audits have a global and international scope, meaning that any project, department, management, area, or affiliated company can be audited.

Corporate Social Responsibility

This department coordinates corporate responsibility initiatives within the FCC Group's construction division and manages its participation in national and international sustainability indices (DJSI, FTSE4Good). Every two years, it publishes the FCC Construction Sustainability Report, which details key milestones and new developments in this area. An annual update with the most relevant information is also published. Furthermore, it prepares the annual Progress Report in accordance with the United Nations Global Compact, which FCC Construction has signed.

Knowledge management

It develops the tools and methodologies for leveraging the knowledge generated in construction projects, within organizations, and among the people who make up the company. It systematizes the generation and management of the organization's explicit and implicit knowledge and improves employee access to it.

Information and Documentation

The Information and Documentation department communicates, manages and archives all information and documentation of a technical, legal or regulatory nature that is useful or necessary for the development of our construction activity or other related activities, and facilitates its access to employees.
