The Banpro Building in Nicaragua rakes in a new prize

The Banpro Corporate Building, built by FCC Construcción, has received its second 2009 Cemex International Works prize, in the accessibility category. The prize was recently conferred in Monterrey, Mexico.

The Banpro Building was previously favoured by the 2009 Cemex Works Prize of Nicaragua, thus ensuring the building's participation as Nicaraguan candidate for the International Prize, for which it vied with works in other countries of the world.

In December 2008 the project earned an honourable mention in the construction category at the 2008 Fomento Quality Awards. These prizes are given out each year by FCC Construcción to distinguish excellence in quality among its projects and the best innovation projects the company has been involved in.

The Banpro Corporate Building is an office building, the head offices of Banco de la Producción de Nicaragua, and it is located in District III of the city of Managua. Its design, created in Costa Rica in 2006, follows modern trends in spatial design.

The building consists of 9,909 m2 of construction divided into five levels, a basement and four storeys, and 7,296 m2 of outdoor garden and parking areas.
