FCC Construcción has been awarded the contract to build the Camp de Tarragona tram between Cambrils and Vila-seca. The works will take 25 months to complete and the project includes the construction of the platform, superstructure, urban development and systems for the 12 kilometres between Cambrils Centre and Vila-seca Estació. It is a double-track tramway and the route will include 11 stops with 40-metre platforms; two of the stations will connect with the Adif stations of Salou-PortAventura and Vila-seca.

FCC Construcción has extensive experience in the design and construction of urban tramways, including the Parla Tramway, the Murcia Tramway, Section 2 of the Alicante-Altea Tramway, and Line 1 of the Zaragoza Tramway. Together, these cover more than 70 kilometres.
