At the sixth edition of the Bancaja Habitat - Live in Spain awards, the publication "We Build Value: Incentives for Sustainable Construction" was recognised, the first result of the Sustainable Building Work Group of Fundación Entorno-BCSD España, in which FCC Construcción has taken part.

The report looks at the challenges for the current model for the development of sustainable construction and makes a broad proposals for measures and incentives for both the public and private sectors, some of which are already being taken on board in the international building sector.

The aim of these initiatives is to foster the creation of sustainable value in six major areas of action: territorial planning, existing building stock (rehabilitation), energy, use of resources and environmental impact, sustainable mobility, and quality of life.
