They have debated and analyzed business leadership in the face of converging crises, as well as the fundamental role of companies in resolving crises. In addition, they have studied the global trends as well as the tools and associations necessary to achieve the 2030 Agenda.

The United Nations has investigated the different opinions of CEOs of international companies on successes, challenges and areas of future progress. All of this shows an increase in global challenges which cause senior managers of companies to have to work under high levels of uncertainty, all of which could hinder the achievement of the SDGs.

CEOs urgently request greater dialogue and partnership with the public sector; that regulatory frameworks create a level playing field for companies and attract financial flows; They are committed to greater job training, as well as greater public investment to regain balance with nature and clean energy; for global collaboration with artificial intelligence and for the consolidation of the currently fragmented landscape.

Currently, only 15% of the SDG targets are on track, progress is weak and insufficient in 48%, and progress has stagnated or regressed in 37% of the SDGs. The Global Private Sector Stocktake report from the United Nations Global Compact and Accenture, which surveyed more than 2,800 business leaders around the world, showed that the vast majority (94%) of business leaders still see the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDG) as a unifying global vision. But to achieve them the private sector must focus on the areas where they can have the greatest impact.

To respond to this commitment, the United Nations Global Compact has launched Forward Faster, a new initiative to accelerate private sector action at the pace and scale necessary to meet the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and deliver on the 2030 Agenda. .

Companies under the session "Uniting leaders for business integrity" analyzed the importance of business integrity as a driver of impact in the Forward Faster: living wage, climate change, water management, gender equality and investments in the SDGs. FCC Construction was able to participate in the debate and reflection tables.

Members of the UN Global Compact CFO Coalition for SDGs examined the central role that chief financial officers (CFOs) play in ensuring that private capital flows towards the SDGs and that companies make the investments necessary for the transition to sustainability and can obtain the necessary capital in the future.
