FCC Construcción approves its new Climate Action Policy

Last July, the FCC Construcción Sustainability Committee approved the Climate Action Policy, a strategic initiative that reinforces the organisation's commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change.
Through this policy, FCC Construcción reaffirms its climate commitment by reducing emissions, promoting energy efficiency, integrating renewable energies and developing mitigation and adaptation strategies to ensure the resilience of its infrastructures.
This policy is part of the Environmental Dimension of the 2050 Sustainability Strategy and the Climate Change Strategy, and responds to the growing urgency to take concrete action in the face of global climate challenges.
The approval of this policy comes at a key moment, when sustainability has become a strategic focus for companies. By 2025, the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria is considered essential for business competitiveness and resilience.
Extreme weather events, such as those recorded in Spain during 2024, have highlighted the need to accelerate the transition to sustainable models. In this context, FCCCO reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, aligning its strategy with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and actively contributing to the transformation towards a low-carbon economy.
FCC Construcción thus demonstrates once again its commitment to sustainability and its pioneering role in establishing measures, plans and programmes that respond to the current needs of society.
