History and Misson
FCC Canada is part of the FCC Group, a world leader in infrastructure and public services. FCC Canada brings more than a century of global engineering experience to the Canadian market. FCC first entered Canada more than 25 years ago with the award of the Fredericton-Moncton Highway in 1998, a landmark design, build, operate and maintain project that established our long-term presence in the country. Since then, FCC has continued to deliver complex transport and civil infrastructure projects across Canada.
In Canada, FCC has contributed to the creation of landmark transport and transit infrastructure, including major metro extensions and complex urban tunnelling works.
From the excavation of twin tunnels and the construction of underground stations to integration with existing transport systems, we bring technical excellence, collaborative execution and a commitment to quality, health, safety and environmental management. Backed by robust internal systems, clear governance and a strong management team.
COMPLETED PROJECTS

Fredericton–Moncton Highway
FCC’s first major project in Canada, awarded in 1998, involved the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of this critical transportation corridor in New Brunswick. Delivered under a public-private partnership model, the project established FCC’s long-term presence in Canada and demonstrated our capability in large-scale highway infrastructure and lifecycle asset management.

COMPLETED PROJECTS

Fredericton–Moncton Highway
FCC is contributing to the transformation of transit service in Scarborough through the delivery of major tunnelling and underground works. This project supports improved connectivity and capacity within Toronto’s transit network, showcasing FCC’s strength in complex geotechnical conditions and coordinated urban construction.

Ontario Line – Pape North Connect
FCC Canada Ltd., has been awarded the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations contract for the Ontario Line, a 15.6-kilometre standalone rapid transit line that will significantly enhance connectivity across Toronto. Delivered under a Progressive Design-Build model, the project includes approximately three kilometres of twin tunnels beneath Pape Avenue, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), tunnel portals, emergency exit buildings, a rail crossover, and integration with the existing TTC Line 2 subway.

Fraser River Tunnel Project
FCC, in partnership with Pomerleau and Bouygues Construction Canada Inc., has been selected to deliver the Fraser River Tunnel Project. This transformative infrastructure initiative involves the construction of a new toll-free, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel to replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The new crossing will provide three general-purpose lanes and one dedicated transit lane in each direction, improving capacity and safety along this critical transportation corridor.
In addition to enhanced roadway infrastructure, the project includes a separated multi-use pathway for cyclists and pedestrians and is designed to maintain navigational channel clearances along the Fraser River. Once complete, the new tunnel will improve regional mobility, strengthen economic connectivity, and provide a modern, resilient transportation link for communities throughout the Lower Mainland.

Yonge North subway Extension- Advanced tunnel
North End Connectors consortium composed FCC Canada, , is delivering the Yonge North Subway Extension Advance Tunnel project on behalf of Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx. The project involves the design and construction of a 6.3-kilometre tunnelled section, including launch and extraction shafts, as well as headwalls for future stations and emergency exit buildings. The scope also includes the supply of tunnel boring machines, installation of precast tunnel liners, and associated supporting works.
The Yonge North Subway Extension will extend the TTC’s Line 1 service approximately eight kilometres north from Finch Station into York Region, connecting communities in Markham, Vaughan, and Richmond Hill. Once complete, the extension is expected to significantly improve regional transit connectivity, supporting more than 90,000 daily trips and reducing commute times by up to 22 minutes for residents across the corridor.
