The construction industry association recognizes Esther Alcocer Koplowitz for her professional career at La Noche CNC

Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, Chairwoman of the FCC Group, has been awarded the Special Recognition for Professional Career, the highest honorary distinction granted by the construction employers’ association, during the II “La Noche CNC” Awards. The event brought together business leaders, institutional representatives, and social stakeholders at CaixaForum Madrid to highlight the strategic role of construction in Spain’s economic and social transformation.

The gala, closed by Minister Elma Saiz, focused on some of the major challenges currently facing the construction sector, including access to housing and infrastructure, as well as sustainability, digitalization, and job creation.

Alongside CNC President Pedro Fernández Alén, the event also featured business representatives such as Miguel Garrido, First Vice President of CEOE and President of CEIM, together with executives and professionals linked to a sector considered essential for the country’s economic future.

A lifetime dedicated to building the future of the sector

One of the most moving moments of the evening came with the presentation of the Special Recognition for Professional Career to Esther Alcocer Koplowitz. This extraordinary distinction is awarded directly by the jury, outside the ten official categories, and is reserved for individuals whose contributions have left a decisive mark on the sector.

Esther Alcocer Koplowitz’s career has been closely linked for decades to the promotion and consolidation of a business project that has evolved with changing needs, contributing to urban development and the provision of essential services.

She holds a Law degree and has completed Senior Management training at IESE Madrid. She has served as Chairwoman of FCC Group since January 2013 and is a member of its Board of Directors, actively participating in various executive and nomination committees. Her experience also extends to other national and international boards, as well as numerous cultural, social, and economic institutions.

Awards also recognize talent, innovation and business commitment

The ceremony concluded with awards for the best business and professional initiatives in eleven additional categories. Among the winners were Madrid Capital Mundial (MWCC), recognized for the best public administration initiative, and Ferrovial Construcción, awarded for its digital transformation initiative for business development.

TORRESCAMARA was also recognized for its technological initiative for environmental benefit, Alfredo Boto Hervás for his work in communication promoting and enhancing the sector’s visibility, and CITANIAS for its commitment to job creation.

The jury also honored COMSA Corporación for its management of generational succession and family business continuity, LANTANIA for its international activity, and Abaigar Promoción y Construcción for promoting the inclusion of women in the sector.

Additionally, OHLA Group was recognized for its projects in the restoration and conservation of historical and artistic heritage, COTS I CLARET for initiatives to attract young talent, and TECOZAM for innovation in products, machinery, and auxiliary resources.

With this second edition, La Noche CNC consolidates its position as one of the major annual gatherings in the sector and as a platform for recognizing the talent, innovation, and commitment of companies and professionals driving Spanish construction forward.
