FCC Construcción takes part in the United Nations forum, ‘Business Leadership in the New Global Multilateralism’
FCC Construcción has taken part in the United Nations forum, ‘Business Leadership in the New Global Multilateralism’, which was divided into two sessions in which the company played an active role: the Business Engagement Segment and Public-Private Cooperation: Financing & Rights in Global Value Chains.
Geopolitical tensions and a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape are transforming the context in which businesses operate. To thrive in this environment, businesses need predictability, stable markets, trusted partnerships and global cooperation. That is why multilateralism remains important for businesses. Cooperation based on rules helps to create the conditions businesses need to invest, innovate, compete fairly and build resilient supply chains.
The growing complexity of the regulatory landscape has been highlighted, including the implications of the EU Omnibus Package, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). Responsible and global business cooperation remain essential drivers of resilience, competitiveness and sustainable growth.
FCC Construcción is a member of the United Nations CFO Coalition and the United Nations Ethic Coalition. It is the first Spanish company to join both working groups and the first construction firm in the world to do so.
