FCC Construcción publishes its 2025 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report
FCC Construcción has once again published its verified Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Report for the 2025 financial year, reaffirming its commitment to transparency, sustainability, and continuous improvement in managing its environmental impact.
For the sixth consecutive year, the report includes the calculation of the company’s carbon footprint, covering 100% of its activities, both at construction sites and fixed facilities, across all countries in which it operates: Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Romania, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Canada, the United States, Qatar, Australia and Saudi Arabia.
The document has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018 and the GHG Protocol, globally recognized frameworks for the quantification and reporting of GHG emissions. This reporting exercise, initiated in 2010, reflects FCC Construcción’s commitment to applying rigorous and consistent criteria in measuring its environmental impact. Furthermore, the report has been independently verified by AENOR, ensuring the reliability and credibility of the data presented.
The 2025 reporting year has been marked by a significant effort focused on improving the methodology used to calculate the carbon footprint. In this regard, new materials and production processes have been incorporated, along with an expanded scope of emissions considered across construction projects. As a result of this methodological enhancement, 2025 has been established as a new base year for reference.
This improvement has led to an increase in reported emissions compared to previous years; however, it provides a more comprehensive, accurate, and representative calculation of the company’s operational reality. In this way, FCC Construcción strengthens the quality of its environmental data and lays the foundation for more effective emissions reduction management in the future.
With this publication, FCC Construcción reinforces its commitment to sustainability, climate action and continuous improvement, consolidating its position as a benchmark in responsible management within the construction sector.
