MRW Picks FCC To Build Its New Corporate Headquarters

MRW has decided its new corporate headquarters are to be built by FCC. The new building, which is slated to be finished sometime in the second quarter of 2012, is already under construction at a site in the economic district of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona.

MRW's offices will be raised on a 5,054-square-metre plot and will have a total floor area of 6,568 square metres. The building is designed as a five-storey edifice, the workplace for more than 200 employees. There will be roomy, open-plan spaces and flexible facilities, including a gym, a recreation room, a library and a sun room.

The idea is to make the MRW corporate building an example and a role model in sustainability in architecture, so it is especially innovative in this sense. In fact, the building has already been registered with Breeam, the world building sustainability certification leader.
