DEMOLTECH
Smart demolition and revalorization processes for the generation of circular raw materials in urban environments.
Objective
The general objective of DEMOLTECH is to conduct research for the development of a comprehensive prototype for smart demolition, through the investigation of revalorization processes to generate circular raw materials in urban environments, across the different phases of the deconstruction project cycle.
- Design and development of a Digital Twin to predict the volume of waste generated in the design phase, for early decision-making that favors its minimization.
- Develop a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) functionality tool for demolition materials to evaluate sustainable alternatives and make informed decisions about using new or revalorized materials in each particular case.
- Development of a blockchain system for the certification of recycled materials and their recovery processes, promoting their digitization for the incorporation of information into the Digital Material Passport.
- Research and development of an intelligent tool for in situ material identification based on artificial vision, for monitoring demolition tasks and their incorporation into the Digital Twin.
- Development of an advanced tool for the separation of toxic and inert waste and on-site waste separation based on IoT and artificial vision solutions, for the automation and digitization of material records in accordance with current Waste Management regulations.
- Integration of the previous technological prototypes into a comprehensive prototype demonstrator (TRL6) and in situ testing under quasi-real conditions of the prototype demonstrator to validate the experimental development advocated in DEMOLTECH.
