FCC to build a section of the SE 40 eastern sector motorway in Seville

The Ministry of Transport's General Directorate of Roads has awarded FCC the section of the SE 40 East from Alcalá de Guadaira -A-92- to Alcalá de Guadaira -A-376- connecting the A-376 and the A-92 motorway, thus continuing the ring road around the metropolitan area of Seville after the junction of the SE-40 with the A-92 motorway.

The work -5.96 km- starts at km 0+125 on the A-92 and ends on the A-376 -Utrera road- at km 6+0.81 where a new junction is to be built and the existing one, giving access to Montequinto, will be re-modelled.

The estimated schedule for the work is 30 months and the budget is €58.5 million. The SE-40 motorway will relieve traffic on both the Andalusian motorway -A-4- and the SE-30, both very congested at peak periods, and will improve access to the surrounding villages while allowing traffic to avoid passing through the centre of Seville.
