The Hades TBM has set a new world record for tunneling, using an EPB TBM, in the works for Metro line 9 in El Prat del Llobregat, having excavated 70.5 meters of tunnel and placed 47 concrete rings, of 1.5 meters in length, in a single day.

The record was reached on October 15 and adds to those previously achieved by the Hades and Guster tunnel boring machines in the execution of said works.

This section of line 9 of the Barcelona metro was awarded to FCC Construcción, in a joint venture, by the Generalitat of Catalonia, through the public company Ifercat, through a public works concession for a period of 30 years, for the construction, maintenance and operation of various infrastructures of section I.
