Walkways in Lusail, Qatar, at 75% completion

This project is under development in the central area of the complex and includes the construction of two singular pedestrian bridges which connect three of the four man-made islands which are planned throughout the project.

The two twin structures with identical features (cable-stayed platform of three spans of 30 + 60 + 30 metres) vary only between the dimensions of the access ramps to the platform, again symmetrical on both structures.

The concept incorporated within this architectural approach is to create a singular recreational area over the water and its surrounding area, equipping both structures with resources such as kiosks, situated at the nodes (pylons) of each symmetrical alignment, ornamental fountains, gardened areas, metallic latticework with glass covers at ground level in the spaces created from the linked design or practical pavilions in the cable-stayed areas.
