The contract awarded by the Valencian Infrastructure and Transport Department comes to 25 million euro and covers the construction of a 3,477-metre platform of transport to be located in the centre of the street. To be built are five ground-level stops, with 30 metres of platform, and one underground stop -station- with a 50-metre-long trench platform and a total length of 109 metres.

In addition to the platform's infrastructure, FCC will be doing the development work, integrating the island into the city, designing the architecture on the platforms, building the Recite Castelló Station and the catenary, electrification systems and complementary facilities and building the bridge over dual carriageway CS-22, which will have three identical decks of precast beams with a 31-metre span.

Special treatment will be accorded to vegetation. A great green belt will be planted on both sides of the island, which will be flanked by numerous palm trees.
