The president of the Extremadura Council, Guillermo Fernández Vara, opened the eighteenth Iberian Construction Trade Fair, FICON, on the 24th last at the FEVAL fairgrounds in Don Benito.

This event was held from 24 to 27 March and occupied 22,000 m2 of exhibit space. There were 180 companies on show, including FCC Construcción, which put up a joint stand together with other major construction firms.

FICON was the hosting venue for the First International Industrial Encounter, which drew in importers, distributors, investors and opinion leaders from Portugal, France, Poland, the United Kingdom, Benelux, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, the Maghreb and the United Arab Emirates, plus Extremeñan companies related with the construction sector.

The Iberian Construction Trade Fair is complemented by the Urban Development and Environment Showroom, the Real Estate Showroom and the Renewable Energy Showroom.
