ADIF has awarded Prefabricados Delta, a subsidiary of FCC Construcción, a contract valued at 10.1 million euros to supply 115,000 international width sleepers for the construction of the Almansa-Caudete section of the Madrid-Castilla la Mancha-Valencian Community-Murcia Region high speed railway.

Prefabricados Delta was created in March 2011 and operates under the FCC Industrial trademark. The company, which has four factories, two in Humanes, Madrid and two in Puente Genil, Córdoba, offers a wide range of prefabricated products: reinforced concrete pipes with steel sleeves, post-stressed concrete pipes with steel sleeves, PRFV pipes, tunnel arches, concrete railway sleepers, noise protection panels, GRC panels, prefabricated concrete panels, three-dimensional cells for penitentiaries, etc.

Each factory has its own laboratory where the products undergo different tests until they are approved by quality control to guarantee completely satisfactory results. Since 1994, the company has used a quality assurance system that adheres to UNE-EN-180-9002 to ensure the quality of its production, installation and after-sale services. The Company is UNE-EN-ISO-9001 certified.

One of the strengths of FCC Construcción lies in its commitment to product diversification. In 2001, turnover from industrial services and installations totalled 880 million euros, 27% more than the year before.
