FCC participates in a Children’s Village project in Austria
The Nussdorf-Debant SOS Children's Village has the help of fifteen students interning at the company.

FCC, through its subsidiary in Austria, ALPINE, is lending a hand at the Nussdorf-Debant SOS Children's Village project in East Tyrol, the world's second-largest Children's Village, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation and building twenty-six new units to form part of a family village.
ALPINE is giving fifteen students doing practice work as part of their learning experience integrated into teams of professional experts the opportunity to take part in building the framework of one of these modules.
This initiative is part of the apprenticeship programme that ALPINE launched in late 2009, to which more than 100 students belong. There are still positions open; youths who are interested should sign up at www.alpine.at.
Attracting talent
FCC is alive to the fact that qualified talent has to be attracted when candidates are just starting their career, so the company has set up permanent channels of cooperation with universities to facilitate young people's journey into the working world. The company has cooperation agreements for internships with a great number of schools.
Training young professionals is a longstanding tradition at FCC. For students, experience like this is an attractive way to learn and a means of enlarging on prior studies, thus laying the foundations for an interesting career at an innovative international firm. Many of these young people have continued their career at the company after completing a period of apprenticeship.
