FCC Receives the Equality in Enterprise Insignia

FCC is honoured to have received the Equality in Enterprise insignia, a mark of excellence bestowed by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality that acknowledges FCC's outstanding, committed work for equality.
The company thus joins FCC subsidiary Aqualia, which earned the insignia in the first round of conferrals last year. It has also now become one of the ten Ibex 35 companies distinguished for equality in enterprise, and twice over, for good measure.
The ceremony was attended by Francisco Martín Monteagudo, general manager of Human Resources for the Citizen Services Group, who gave a speech of thanks on behalf of the major companies that received the honour; Emilio Hermida, corporate manager of Human Resources; and members of the Equality and Diversity Management Team.
In his speech Francisco Martín stressed how important it is for big companies to include equality and diversity actions and programmes in their international strategy and how necessary it is to have public/private cooperation forums and mechanisms to boost best practices among all the different parties involved, government, business and social groups.
The Equality in Enterprise insignia acknowledges the effort and engagement spurred and coordinated by the Human Resources area for the application and development of policies fostering equality for men and women in working conditions, models of organization and other spheres, such as the company's services, products and advertising.
It also recognizes all kinds of activities the company has run to facilitate the work-life balance by setting general objectives and arranging flexible measures to allow adaptation to the diversity of needs, situations and shortfalls facing staff.
