FCC leads BALI, a Special Strategic Project in R&D&i
BALI tackles research in the field of acoustics

On 24 March the plenary meeting of the consortium that is conducting the BALI -Building Acoustics for Living- Special Strategic Project was held, with the attendance of all consortium members plus representatives of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. At the meeting there was an evaluation of the progress made and new lines of work were proposed for later exploration.
The BALI Special Strategic Project is a cooperative venture into technological research, development and innovation being conducted with government support by a consortium led by FCC Construcción and including numerous public and private research institutions. Also in the consortium are several industrial firms that manufacture architectural components for building, including the FCC Construcción Group firm Internacional TECAIR. Because the consortium is set up along the lines of a value chain and because it has strong industrial leadership, the BALI Special Strategic Project is a reality whose first results have already become apparent.
The BALI Project tackles research in the field of acoustics, aimed at producing sustainable, acoustically healthy buildings, without scorning the objective of finding market-worthy systems and products. The project is structured in the form of various sub-projects, in each of which specific groups of consortium partners participate, defining their priorities according to the innovation interests of each. This way, cooperative, orderly work can be done with a view to reaping the maximum technological benefit.
The BALI Special Strategic Project is partially financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and it receives supporting funds from the ERDF.
