FCC Construcción wins the contract for the construction of two bridges worth 28 million euros
It concerns the new bridge in Lugo and Rondilla bridge in Valladolid
The General Directorate of Highways attached to the Ministry of Development has awarded FCC Construcción with the contract for the construction of a new bridge over the Miño River, in Lugo, at a cost of 21.9 million euros.
The bridge will have two lanes running in both directions and will have capacity for 70,000 cars a day. It will be 195 m long, and be divided into two sections: one measuring 95 m over the course of the river and the other measuring 100 m with two spans of 50 m. It will have pavements that are 2.10 m wide, except in the central part where they will be 3.20 m wide, allowing for the fitting of benches. Moreover, the works include landscaping and the accesses to the bridge, with large slopes.
Furthermore, Valladolid City Council has awarded FCC Construcción, as part of a joint venture, with the execution of a bridge over the Pisuerga River, which is located between calle Rábida in the vicinity of Rondilla and calle Peseta, at a cost of 6.2 million euros.
The bridge will have five spans, with a total length of 204 m and a lane cross-section of 3.5 m, a cycling lane of 3.20 m and two pavements of 7 and 10 m.
