FCC has joined the Excellence in Sustainability Club, a business association composed of large companies that are committed to sustainable development from an economic, social and environmental point of view.

The membership was arranged by the Chairman and CEO of the FCC Group, Baldomero Falcones, with the club’s chairman, Eduardo Montes.

FCC is the first firm in the construction and services sector to join the Excellence in Sustainability Club. The company’s membership is a logical consequence of the Group’s commitment to social responsibility and the sustainability of its business activities. This commitment has been set out in FCC’s new Strategic Plan, with specific initiatives in this field, including a new general corporate social responsibility for the Group for 2009 and 2010.

FCC has fixed its mission, vision and values in the company’s new Code of Ethics, which has recently been approved by the Board of Directors. It has also recently published its third corporate social responsibility report, which has received the highest possible score (A+) from GRI. FCC is a pioneering group, where almost all its areas of business publish their commitments and progress in this area via sustainability reports.
