ADIF has awarded FCC Construcción the installation of 43 km of double track in the Siete Aguas-Valencia section, 17.4 km of double track in Almussafes-Valencia and a goods branch with three rails -two gauges-, 19.1 km long, for €39.2 million and a timetable of 17 months.

The project includes an installation base in Almussafes. The track will be installed on ballast except in the La Cabrera (2 x 7,236 m), Buñol (2 x 1,858 m) and Torrent (2 x 2,990 m) tunnels and the artificial tunnel in Valencia (5,362 m) where it will be installed on a plate. The track materials, ballast, sleepers and rail will be supplied by ADIF.
