FCC completes the bridge over the Bueno River on the T-775 route in Chile

On 28 March, Alberto Undurraga, the Chilean Minister of Public Works, officially opened to traffic the new bridge over the Bueno River. The bridge was constructed by FCC in Chile under the T-775 route (Puerto Nuevo-Quillaico) improvement project, part of the Red Interlagos, which is currently 87% complete.

The opening was also attended by Walter Brüning, director of the National Roads Council, Enrique Jaramillo, government deputy, Ena Von Baer and Alfonso De Urresti, senators, Egon Montecinos, Mayor of Los Ríos region, Jorge Alvial, regional secretary of the MPW of Los Ríos, Sergio Gallardo, governor of Ranco, Santiago Rosas, Mayor of Lago Ranco, María Angélica Astudillo, Mayor of La Unión, and Sarita Jaramillo, Mayor of Futrono.

The bridge over the Bueno River improves access to the city of the same name with a new 222-metre long viaduct, consisting of steel girders and reinforced concrete slabs. It will replace the existing Carlos Ibañez del Campo Bridge, which was constructed in 1927, as it no longer meets the current needs of the city.
