The visit took place on 11 February 2010

On 11 February 2010, Valencian President Francisco Camps, accompanied by the president of the Castellón Council and president of Aerocas, Carlos Fabra, visited the facilities at Castellón Airport, which was built by FCC.
The Valencian president affirmed during his visit that the airport opens a new gateway to the world that will usher in prosperity, jobs, investments, new businesses and fresh expectations for the province.
Castellón Airport is designed as a category-4D facility with the capacity to handle 1,500,000 passengers per year, and it is equipped with an ILS category-4 navaid system. The runway is 60 metres wide and 2,700 metres long, with the possibility of extension to 4,000 metres.
The 68,000-m2 parking apron can accommodate eight type-D aircrafts, while the passenger terminal, which is a two-storey, 9,000-m2 building, has twelve check-in desks, four boarding gates and two baggage carousels.
