FCC Construcción has turned in its 2012 Communication on Progress, pursuant to its commitment to the Global Compact. The report describes FCC’s actions, results and objectives with respect to each of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact. This year a self-evaluation has been added.

FCC’s Communication on Progress was acknowledged as reaching the advanced level. The United Nations’ Global Compact Office uses this higher standard to recognize companies that are striving hard to be the best by instituting a series of good practices in good governance and sustainability management and reporting on their progress.

Advanced-level companies, according to the Global Compact, are publicly acknowledged on the Compact’s web page. The results are explained and detailed statistics on the company’s self-evaluation and best practices are given on each participant’s progress communication page.

In addition to publishing this annual report, FCC Construcción has reaffirmed its voluntary commitment to the principles of the Global Compact.

The company joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2004. As a founding member of ASEPAM, the Spanish Global Compact Association, FCC has participated in the association’s activities right from the start, to share the good practices involved in introducing the Ten Principles.
