Throughout this week, several professionals from FCC Construcción have been teaching a 30-hour class, "Standardised management systems", in Santander to students of Cantabria University's School of Civil Engineering and School of Associate Engineering of Public Works.

The IDEaS Programme ("IDEaS" stands in Spanish for "Integration of Companies from the Construction Sector in Teaching at the Santander School of Civil Engineering") was created in 2006 to narrow the gap between the university world and the business world of the construction sector in Cantabria.

This project, which has had the support and cooperation of FCC Construcción since its start, helps offer university students two different ways of looking at things, beyond the mere theoretical plane: Students gain an overall view, acquainting themselves with the business sphere, and they get in touch with professionals who work in the sector, thus making it easier for the students to find a job in future.
