Carlos M. Jarque approves new appointments in FCC Construcción and in Internal Auditing

Carlos M. Jarque, chief executive and CEO of FCC, has approved two new appointments in the Citizen Services Group. On this occasion, the appointments relate to the construction and internal auditing divisions. The decisions were made following approval by the Appointments and Remuneration Committee (ARC)

The new appointments "represent another step forward in achieving new organizational structures and take advantage of synergies," said Jarque. On Auditing, he said "we are looking to continue implementing mechanisms regarding risk prevention, monitoring and reduction, as well as contingencies that effectively coordinate activity in those areas". Regarding international construction, he said "the objectives focus on finding profitable markets and projects, achieving efficiency and optimising resources to meet our crucial goal of obtaining profitability".

Pablo Colio has been appointed as the new head of the international arm of FCC Construcción, a position that he will carry out alongside his current one as managing director of FCC Industrial and Subsidiary Companies. Colio will take on the duties in the international area that were previously undertaken by Vicente Mohedano.

Colio (1968), an architect graduate from the Higher Technical School of Madrid with several management qualifications from the IE Business School, has been put in charge of the division's international area. He has developed his professional career almost entirely in the Citizen Services Group, which he joined in 1994.

As well as being the managing director of FCC Industrial and Subsidiary Companies in the Construction area, he will also undertake the duties corresponding to his new position. In the Citizen Services Group, Colio has been in charge of the international expansion of the industrial area. He has been the managing director of FCC Industrial Construction Activities, deputy manager of Building and Industrial Construction at Ibérica de Servicios y Obras, and the head of the Building department.

As regards Marcos Bada, he has been appointed as the new internal auditor of the Citizen Services Group, taking over from Miguel Hernanz Bada (1974). He has a degree in Business Management and an MBA from the ESADE, and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). The Group's new internal auditor, who previously carried out the same duties at Realia, will directly report to the Auditing and Control Committee, and to the Presidency. He was the manager of Internal Auditing at Sacyr from 2005 to 2008 and the External Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC between 1999 and 2005. He has valuable experience in the auditing area.

Carlos M. Jarque would like to thank Miguel Hernanz and Vicente Mohedano for all their work and he wishes them the very best for the future.
