FCC is to build the metal structure and support for the roof of the new Valencia football stadium, in a temporary joint venture with another company. The work, valued at €48.3 million, will take 10 months. The structure will be built after phases I and II, the parking and the grandstands have been finished, by the same joint venture, and now under construction.

The structure will have 24 steel girders 50 metres long supporting the foundations of the new stadium, which is already taking shape. With a height of 40 metres, it will contain 10,000 tonnes of steel. Work on the new stadium is progressing on schedule and is expected to go into operation for the 2009-10 season.
