On September 5, RRC initiates the work on the project "Road connection of Mondim de Basto to EN210".

The work awarded to Ramalho Rosa Cobetar, representative in Portugal of FCC Construcción, by Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A., represents an investment of 7.6 million euros, with an execution term of 548 days.

It has two main objectives: to restore the existing roads and their bridges, which will be intercepted or flooded by the Maximum Storage Level, of the Fridão Hydroelectric Development Project and provide a fast and safe road between the two councils, Mondim de Basto (Vila Real) and Celorico de Basto (Braga), substantially reducing about 6.0 km of the distance, and eliminating traffic on the municipal road CM 1775 between Lordelo and Veade.

The road link has an approximate length of 3,650 m and intersects the EN210 in the Industrial Area of Crespos, in Celorico de Basto, crossing the village of Lordelo and the two valleys of Veade and Tâmega, until the center of Mondim de Basto. It also includes the construction of two bridges, one over the Tâmega River (with 232 meters) and the Veade River (154 meters), and the requalification of a section of the current EN304, in about one kilometer, which includes the widening of this road , in order to ensure the connection from the urban center of Mondim to the Tâmega Cycleway.
