FCC Construcción Portugal signs up to the Portuguese Diversity Charter

FCC Construcción Portugal has signed up to the Portuguese Diversity Charter, reinforcing its commitment to promoting diversity, equality and inclusion as fundamental principles of its organisational culture. 

This adherence is part of the company's participation in the meetings of REDI Portugal and FCC's clear commitment to integrating diversity as a central axis of its day-to-day activities, assuming it as an ethical imperative and a factor in the valuation of people, innovation and sustainable development.

The Portuguese Diversity Charter promotes the recognition, respect and appreciation of individual differences, encouraging equal treatment and opportunities and contributing to the creation of more inclusive, efficient and representative work environments.

FCC Construcción Portugal is committed, among other things, to:

  • Ensuring, at senior management and other hierarchical levels of the organisation, the creation of conditions for the understanding, respect and promotion of diversity by all people;
  • Developing an organisational culture based on mutual respect, recognition and appreciation of individual talents and differences;
  • Promoting people management practices that support the principles of diversity and inclusion, with particular emphasis on equal treatment and opportunities in the recruitment and selection process, in training and professional development, in assessment, in career progression and in remuneration;
  • Promote diversity as a source of development and learning beyond economic growth, but also as a means to achieve a more satisfying intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual existence;
  • Give priority to the creation of work teams based on the principles and values of this charter, valuing the distinctive characteristics and merits of each person;
  • Promote and respect diversity through methodologies, management tools and conditions, including working time, that encourage the development of individuals, in accordance with their needs and characteristics;
  • Ensure that the Charter and related activities are communicated to employees, customers, suppliers, partners and society in general, in order to enhance involvement and commitment to its principles;
  • Promote opportunities for reflection, learning and the development of practices that foster diversity, whether internally, through exchanges between the various signatory organisations or at public events;
  • Analyse, evaluate and share the activities carried out and the results obtained within the framework of this Charter, promoting its dissemination and contributing to its reinforcement at national and international level.

By signing this commitment, FCC Construcción Portugal visibly and consistently reinforces its commitment to integrating inclusive practices into its internal and external activities.
