The Business Network for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion (REDI), the pioneering Spanish business ecosystem for LGBTI diversity, has held the official launch of REDI Portugal at an event coinciding with EuroPride Lisbon 2025.

The event, which took place at the Cuatrecasas offices in Lisbon, brought together representatives from founding companies, institutions and leaders in diversity. The day included a corporate round table, the presentation of diplomas to the promoting companies and an inspiring presentation. Among the major founding companies of REDI are: Grupo Ageas Portugal, Airbus, Brico Depôt, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Cuatrecasas, El Corte Inglés, Nippon Gases, PLMJ, PwC, Repsol, Siemens and SONAE. The list of medium-sized companies includes: Colgate-Palmolive, Esprinet Portugal, FCC Construcción Portugal, Gilead, Hydro and Uría Menéndez Abogados. Finally, the list of small companies includes: Amadeus, BCD Travel, CCSL Advogados, GCIMEDIA Group, L'Éléphant and pur’ple. In addition, REDI Portugal has REDI Spain as a special founder, which will accompany REDI Portugal on its journey to replicate its success in Spain. The event welcomed Inditex (in the Large Company category) and Tinkle and Kyowa Kirin (as small companies).

This event marks a turning point: for the first time, a business network focused on LGBTI diversity created in Spain is promoting a local structure in another country, generating real impact and adapting to the particularities of the Portuguese environment.

Explicitly working on LGBTI D&I adds value to companies. According to the study ‘LGBT+ Diversity Management in Spain’ conducted by REDI, BBVA and Global Compact (2023), 80% of companies have created safer and more inclusive spaces for LGBTI people and have found that this leads to more productive, creative and innovative work teams.

According to the study ‘Diversity at Work’ (2021) by ManpowerGroup, 36% of LGBTI people in Portugal say that a company's inclusion policies are a determining factor when choosing new job opportunities.

FCC Construcción Portugal is advancing in the development of its corporate diversity and inclusion policy, consolidating its position as a benchmark company in the country, building alliances, sharing knowledge and leading business transformation.
