A significant group of collaborators of FCC Construcción Central America, participated last September 29 in the “XXIX annual cleaning of beaches, coasts and rivers”, carried out in more than fifty located, distributed in Panama.

FCC volunteers went to the boardwalk in Costa del Este, located in the Bay of Panama, with the aim of collecting the largest amount of garbage and wastes that are dumped daily to the sea and rivers, as a result of bad citizen practices.

On this day, all kinds of waste were collected: plastic bottles, cans, tires, disposable diapers, clothing, furniture and various types of appliances that due to lack of citizen awareness are flooding the beaches, rivers and coasts of the country.

Most of the volunteers expressed their great satisfaction by participating in conferences that are in favor of the environment and that are part of the education that must be given from homes and schools to children and youth.

This type of activity is part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, where objective N. 14 is: Conserve and use sustainably, the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

FCC Construcción is one of the companies worldwide that has joined the #aliadosdelosODS campaign, whose objective is to act as a speaker to achieve the implementation of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
