FCC Construccion Costa Rica present in the magazine of the Costa Rican Association of Construction, in its number 217, March 2018 edition.
In the Special Report section, FCC Construccion, as well as other leading companies in the country, analyze the different infrastructures developed in recent years, and the different phases to be overcome in order to award a public work. The different stages and difficulties of each of them are analyzed.
FCC Construccion started operating in the Costa Rican market in 1998-1999, specifically trying to participate in the first concession of public works that was developed in the road sector. In 2004, it strengthened its position by acquiring half of a Costa Rican company which was developing infrastructure works in Central America. In 2008, FCC expanded its participation to 100%.
The experience of FCC has led to its participation in engineering, hydraulic, construction, road and road construction projects. Among other projects, the following stand out: the expansion of the Pan-American Highway north section of the Pan-Liberia highway; the construction of the Sun highway; the road conservation area of San Ramón and Alajuela; the execution of the Metropolitan emissary project for water treatment and the construction of the Juan Santa María airport hangar.
