FCC observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with different events at its corporate headquarters in Las Tablas

FCC observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, commemorated on 25 November every year. The Groups would like to raise the awareness of its staff and remind them about its principles, commitment and vision: zero tolerance against gender violence and promotion of the social and professional integration of women suffering from violence.

Within the framework of fight against gender violence, FCC held a commemorative event at its corporate headquarters in Las Tablas, chaired by Pablo Colio, Chief Executive Officer of the company, and which was also attended by Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, Chairwoman of FCC Group.

The actions included a panel discussion, held under the slogan "Speak up and ask for help", in which the following participated: Matilde Fernández, President of the Spanish Committee of ACNUR, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees; Isabel Sanchis Vila, member and advisor of the Government Delegate's Office against Gender Violence, and Mª Elena Palacios Tejero, Chief Inspector and Head of the Intervention Service of the Family and Women's Unit (UFAM). National Police Force.

At the end of the day, the company's employees showed their support of the VICTIMS of this curse on society by standing next to a poster with the phrase "STANDING BY YOUR SIDE", as part of the activities organised to observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. "STANDING BY YOUR SIDE" kicks off a campaign rolled out by FCC Medio Ambiente to show its support for the victims of gender violence.

With these events, FCC defends equality between men and women and rejects any act of violence through different initiatives in the countries in which the Group operates, with the purpose of contributing to building a freer and more respectful society between everyone.
In such a special day, FCC will also join the campaign against gender violence of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and reaffirm its commitment to equality, collaborating with different institutions to create a safer society that is free from gender violence.

FCC renews its commitment to the public administrations and social agents and will continue to roll out internal awareness-raising actions, aimed at raising the awareness on the need to eradicate this curse on society and palliate the effects on victims.

The key to success involves transmitting the vision of change, progress and awareness raising to all Group staff, applied to the actions aimed at ending violence against women and fostering communication, in particular, in the countries in which this occurs.
